lyrics
On the gear with the boys last night,
We were crammed around the toilet,
And it’s fine, but it’s just like the week before,
And the week before that, and the week before,
I love it, I love it, I love it, I love it, I do,
But Mum says I’m looking tired, and she’s right,
But when I try to sleep I can’t do it, can’t do it, can’t,
I can’t live like that,
Not like that, now,
I can’t live like that, nah
Not like that, now,
Alright, alright
And I’ve seen it happen before,
Saw what happened to Caitlyn,
It’s so raw, it’s so raw, I fucking hate it, it’s such a waste
But I’m eight pints in, now it’s back in my face
Just one more night like I said
But I’ve got this nervous twitch,
And I’m talking to myself,
And I’m watching myself slip,
I can’t, I can’t
I can’t live like that,
Not like that, now,
I can’t live like that, nah
Not like that, now,
I won’t do it,
I won’t do it,
I wanna live
Don’t wanna end up in the street, in the alley, in the gutter,
Don’t wanna end up like Mark E. Smith, Dead at 60, dead at 50 dead at 40 dead at 30, whatever
(Don’t wanna live like that)
Don’t wanna be like that
(Don’t wanna live like that)
Don’t wanna be like that
(Don’t wanna live like that)
Don’t wanna be like you
(Don’t wanna live like that)
Alright, alright,
(Don’t wanna live like that)
Alright, alright,
(Don’t wanna live like that)
I won’t do it, I can’t live like that
(Don’t wanna live like that)
I won’t do it, I won’t do it

I was on a train travelling to Seefeld in Austria and had nothing but the Alps to look over from the windows. This was a perfect compliment to the environment I was in Robert A Johnson

God I love this album, unlike the others this music feels a bit more free.like there was less forced polishing, less overthinking put into it,just pure music. Everytime I listen to this album I get goosebumps.the sounds are just glorious, it’s as if the sounds are moving between the folds of my brain like a stick floating, following the path of a river. sethalogical

Mt Mountajn, for all of their distinctiveness, still continue to progress and evolve their sound. This is a sinewy, slightly leaner beast than previous releases. The songs are briefer, slightly more melodic; perhaps the influence of Stephen Bailey’s solo explorations?
The songs are still iterations of tension and gloom. Mt Mountain have honed their music into a uniquely powerful form of minimalist psychedelic brutalism. Theirs is a menacing, looping drone, always threatening to explode. Michael Mueller
