lyrics
You’ve been talking about the people you’ve bumped into,
You’ve been talking about the places that you’ve been
You’ve been talking down to me like I’m some kind of useless infant,
Without the worth to hold a candle, to your stupid little dream
You define yourself by cheap association,
You define yourself by lanyards around your neck,
You define yourself by glamour, that you’ve never really worked for
Yet you still wanna get up and beat your chest
Cause you know Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco,
Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco,
You said already, Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco,
You fucking told me, Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco,
You’ve been talking about the people you’ve bumped into,
You’ve been talking about the places that you’ve been
You’ve been talking down to me like I’m some kind of fucking infant
Without the worth to hold a candle, to your idiotic dream
You define yourself by cheap association,
You define yourself by lanyards around your neck,
You define yourself by glamour, that you’ve never really worked for
Yet you still wanna get up and beat your chest
Well I can see it, I can see it, I can see it, I can see it,
I can see it, I can see it, I can see it, I can see it
You’re full of shit, you’re full of shit, you’re full of shit, you’re full of shit
You’re full of shit, you’re full of shit, you’re full of shit, you’re full of shit
And you claim you know Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco,
Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco,
Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco,
(Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco,
Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco, Mac DeMarco)

God I love this album, unlike the others this music feels a bit more free.like there was less forced polishing, less overthinking put into it,just pure music. Everytime I listen to this album I get goosebumps.the sounds are just glorious, it’s as if the sounds are moving between the folds of my brain like a stick floating, following the path of a river. sethalogical

Mt Mountajn, for all of their distinctiveness, still continue to progress and evolve their sound. This is a sinewy, slightly leaner beast than previous releases. The songs are briefer, slightly more melodic; perhaps the influence of Stephen Bailey’s solo explorations?
The songs are still iterations of tension and gloom. Mt Mountain have honed their music into a uniquely powerful form of minimalist psychedelic brutalism. Theirs is a menacing, looping drone, always threatening to explode. Michael Mueller

I was on a train travelling to Seefeld in Austria and had nothing but the Alps to look over from the windows. This was a perfect compliment to the environment I was in Robert A Johnson
